缺点在于：太过于复杂，特别难以上手。整个界面也是比较复杂，很多功能藏得很深，指引也很少。并且经常出现输出格式问题无法输出。价格高，不带词典，对源文的语法结构没有进行分析的功能。Trados本身是一款离线需要下载的软件，语料不是共享的，那么你得先花时间做属于自己的语料。

CAT就包括像比较知名的Trados、Memoq、Transmate等计算机辅助翻译工具，这种翻译工具就相当于提供了一个便利的翻译平台，需要人工加入在平台上来进行翻译。优点就是翻译准确度由译员决定，缺点就是时间上肯定会慢下来了，且有些软件操作也比较复杂。不过像国内的YiCAT在线翻译管理平台就是在线的平台，在线注册就可以使用，操作也更好上手，感兴趣的可以一试。
